This £25 million elective surgical hub was built at Clatterbridge Hospital to help clear the NHS backlog after the pandemic. Fullscope Electrical delivered the electrical installation for MTX across two phases. Phase 1 added two operating theatres, 12 recovery bays and a plant room housing air handling units and electrical supply panels. Phase 2 was a two-storey extension that wraps around the first phase so the two work as one building. The scope included theatre power and lighting, IPS panels for critical clinical areas, and integrating prefabricated M&E skids into the modular structure.
